Visitors Center

The Visitors Center is located on the site of the former Lincoln School, where Eisenhower first enrolled in elementary school. Built in 1975, the Visitors Center houses our gift shop and an auditorium where an inspirational film about the boy from Abilene, Kansas who became General and then the 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, is shown on a daily schedule.

Many special events are also held in the auditorium, from book talks and lectures to movies and concerts. In 2016 the audio-visual system was upgraded to include a large screen and state of the art audio and technology through a generous donation from Mr. Hank Royer.
